Water current won't
throw you off! Master the structures below you in almost any weather,
particularly cold, wintry, moving water. A heavier spinnerbait will
help keep your bait where you want it. If it's cold you want to
be down deeper and you need a bait that responds correctly to your
reel speed. THOR does just that. Your technique may differ; however
you can slow roll THOR along the bottom, bounce it off logs or trail
it. One trick we like is to use large Colorado blades on this bait.
It causes a larger water displacement on slow rolls. Throw on a
3-4 inch grub and you are HOT. Fast retrieves make this bait seem
to hum, and a fast retrieve can be a critical maneuver in some conditions.
This is also a terrific springtime bait. It can create a lot of
commotion and aggravate larger strikes. Heavier line and a longer
pole are called for. |
